Baked Oyster Sauce Chicken

I've tasted this all my life. Oyster sauce chicken. Something my mom has been making since I was young and she usually uses chicken wings. So instead of my usual margarine rosemary stuff, I decided to make it a little Asian style with a hint of Western!

Italiannies for Two

Sometime over last weekend, Baby and I tried out Italiannies 2 course meal for RM27.90. Well, with their well known reputation of serving portions that are too much for one, we got ourselves Italiannies 2 meal course to share and it actually filled us up! Besides, it was extremely worth it because, split the cheque and voila, Italiannies good stuff for RM15 each.

Over the holidays we actually went there twice. And both visits, we enjoyed our food very much.

These two are among the starters we could choose from. So for our first visit, we chose Bruschetta and the second visit we had Minestrone (Mini Stroni!!) Soup.

This is the most delicious fish dish that I've tasted at Italiannies so far. I forgot whats the name but its covered with Parmesan cheese!

italiannies-5
This is an absolute must have as well! Grilled Milanese Chicken Breast with Spinach cream sauce!! Omg it was superb!

italiannies-6
Baby ordered a complimentary Italiannies famous Stuffed Mushrooms because the chicken breast wasn't cooked completely, so they offered us a free starter while we waited for the chicken to be cooked again. I'd say, it was really worth dining at Italiannies that night!

Avatar

I absolutely love this movie. This is by far the second best movie I've watched this year. First place obviously goes to Batman The Dark Knight but this, is truly magnificent!

Sam Worthington played Corporal Jake Sully, replacing his late twin brother on a mission joining other team of people to secure a piece of land in another planet called Pandora. This movie takes you into a whole new world of fantasy. A world where nature and animals respect one another. Where every living thing connects through one main living thing, the mother of nature. In Navi (Pandora natives), they call her Eywa. Although watching this movie has a downfall to how we are as humans now. Destroying trees for land. Poluting the air for production. It also carries a huge message on saving our own planet. How for a piece of land, humans destroyed the home of the Navi's. It was cruel to watch but it sent out a very meaningful message.

This movie is the most worth watching movie I've ever watched my entire life. The action scenes were great. The ideas of the movie was excellent! I absolutely love the part where Jake chose his own flying creature and when he flew across the whole land of beauty with Neytiri (a female Navi).

You'll have to watch it for yourselves to understand what I am trying to say here. Pandora is heaven. I wish I was living there. Everything around, everything you step on, everything from day to night, is absolutely beautiful.

Besides, I think he is an absolute eye candy!!

Saute Spicy Tomato Chicken with Eggplant

I was kinda tired of baking my dinner, so I tried using the frying pan. It turned out pretty good actually. More of a saute style than pan fried really because I didnt dare fry as I've always been kinda scared of splattering oil.

Merry Berry XMAS!!

xmas-5

Well, Christmas came and went by in a blink of my eye! However, I would like to wish whoever who reads this a MERRY BERRY CHRISTMAS!

Yesterday before I left the office, Adele surprised me with a present! Well, usually she doesn't do Christmas presents but this time, she said that she was in the mood of giving and so, I got my very 1st Christmas present from her after working for her ... for about 3 years already.

It was really sweet of her to get me a gift pack of lip balm, body soap and perfume in vanilla flavour from Sash, Pavillion. I saw the name card at the bottom of the package and it mentioned that they also sell toiletries, bed sheets, towels and etc. Must check it out one day!

Oh, not forgetting my little gingerbread Santa!!

Christmas Eve dinner was at Aunty Luciene house and the whole house smelt deliciously good when I arrived. Cutleries and Christmas decorations were set up on a long table. We had roasted pork, turkey & chicken wings as mains and saute potatoes with onions, curly fries fried with bacon, boiled brocolli and fresh carrots as sides.

We then had a round of Partini. This game is absolutely fun. I've no idea how to explain the game here but some of them mentioned that it's something like the other game called Kramium. Not sure bout that because I've never come across either. There was this part which was really funny where I had to act out Pamela Anderson for my own team for them to guess, something like playing charades, and I did the whole hand big boobs motion thing and running with my hair swinging behind, then followed with a swimming motion! Gosh, for a person who isn't a tiny bit good at playing charades, most of them actually guessed what I was doing! Best, one of them shouted Baywatch!

The night ended with everyone singing "The 12 Days of Christmas".

xmas-7

Christmas is always the best when there are tonz of presents under the Christmas tree and this year, there's so many more compared to last year's because there were additional presents from added members to the family. We had awesome Rajan's Indian curry & Grandma's signature kicap chicken for lunch and skyped with Aunty Diane, Mike & Sandra, Zach. Christmas presents were given out by each family member and this year, I've got pretty good presents. Well, half of them is to Douglas & Jane, no more individual ones! Lynette said," Yea well, that's for getting engaged!" I really didn't mind at all because I am very much excited bout moving into our own place next year!

So that was it for Christmas this year and by Christmas next year, we will be moving into our own place! I absolutely cannot wait!!
