Nose Contour | Tried

Remember my "How to create higher nose bridge?" post?

Well, I promised I'll give it a try and post it up if it worked. I am actually not that sure if it worked, but I can see slightttttt difference though. You be the judge lah.

Nose-contour
Before & After

You see, what I did was I took a darker shade of brown eye shadow to highlight the side area of my nose from the corner of my eye brow to the bottom of my nose.

Nose-contour-2

Without blending the colour, I actually looked like I had a Navi's nose =.=
However, once I've blended the colour by stroking up and down with a medium blending brush, it looked quite alright. I can't really tell if there's a whole lot of difference, or if there is any at all as I might not be doing it right.

Nose-contour-3

Ah well, if I didn't try, I would never know. So yea ~

How to create higher nose bridge?

You can take the simple way by going under the knife... OR ...you can simply read on to check out what I found useful!

As I was looking through my blog the other day, I kept noticing how flat my nose bridge is. Majority of Asians nowadays have flat nose bridge so I was just daydreaming, how I would look like with a higher nose bridge. Then, I had the urge to find out ways of making it higher, with make up (of course!).

I checked out the first result from Google, and it led me to this blog where I discovered tonz of useful information on make up!! It was like I found a strawberry among hundreds of durians.

I am not going to copy the whole article of how to create higher nose bridge from that blog to this because I am determined to achieve it! So, stay tuned for my blog post on it, see if it works and if it does, I'll jump for joy, do a little tutu turn and then take some pictures to show you, okay? But if I fail, I'll just take the easy way and copy that article here for you! (ngeeekkk)

For now, I only have one way to create a higher nose bridge and I am going to tell you how. Tilt your head downwards a little, and then try making a 45 degree angle, take your camera and snap!

VOILA!

Randomness

MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! (it really works!)
*results proven only in photos ;P also you've just got that sneak peak of my hair makeover at The Met Kuala Lumpur recently! Stay tuned as that post will be up very soon :D

People of the Rich & Famous..put yo hands up!

My first time at Sultan Lounge at Mandarin Oriental.

I heard that that place is for the rich & famous and drinks are exceptionally expensive and all that wasn't a myth because I saw the menu myself and the usual Long Island Tea costs about RM38, which is much more expensive than any other clubs I've been to.

The crowd there are different compared to Zouk and other clubs that I've been to. They were mostly adults, okay, not to say Zouk's crowd are kids but these people were mostly foreigners, business owners, politicians...people you don't usually see at your normal clubs.

Baby said, "Zouk is where the rich man sons are and here is where the rich man clubs". Very true indeed!

The entrance to the club is ... very exclusive. Have you ever gone underground to club before?

Walk through the main entrance, towards the top to bottom see through glass elevator, go in and it takes you to the lower ground floor, where the club is.

Sultan-Lounge

So we did an impromptu night out and had fun! Had to leave early, around 2.30am because I couldn't take the smoke. That place was very badly ventilated. Instead of vents above the club area, there were drapes. To make the whole place sultan-ish, you know? And the vents were only above the bar, so can you imagine everyone smoking and the smoke only goes out if it travels towards the bar? I felt sick so, called it a night and just when I could breathe properly, stupid blue people decided to have a road block that night and demanded for rasuah. Bloody daylight robbers!

Tom Dick & Harry's droppin 1000 Jäger Bomb at Scott Garden @ Old Klang Road

TDH-1000

I went for Tom Dick & Harry's 1000 Jäger Bomb drop but I didn't get to see them drop lor!

I knew they were dropping at 10pm so I went there pretty late, right after dinner at Wong Kok Char Chan Teng which was just a few blocks away and when I got there they were still preparing for the bombs to drop.

It was really magnificent! You'll never really get to see 1000 cups of Redbull with shots of Jagermeister on top of each cup unless you were there the other night!

TDH-1000-2

Met Naomi and Zoey as they were there to witness all 1000 dropping as well but they had to go off because they were there since 7pm. So I had to go too because I wanted to catch Wu Xia which was screening on cinema (A MUST WATCH!)

So anyways, I caught TDH dropping the bomb on video taken by one of their customers, which was posted on their FB Page and it was quite a sight!

Tom Dick & Harry's at The Scott Garden, Old Klang Road is now officially opened! Breakfast from 10am to 2pm is now available as well after this week, only on weekends ya peeps!

TDH-1000-3

CONGRATULATIONS, GUYS! What a launch! 5 days in a row..MOU MAN TAI! :D

Clothes For Fun | Where it all began

header

Since I've not blogged about what I do, this is the time to.

Ever since 4 years ago that I've started a new job at Desa Sri Hartamas, I've been exposed to a whole new working environment. New colleagues, new challenges, new assignments. I was practically in a whole new world where creative is the key to being good at my job. It was also working there that I was exposed into the world of online shopping.

During the year of 2007, online blogshops were still a minority compared to now. It was only the beginning of every fashionista's dream. I, for one was (still am) extremely in love with clothes. The one thing I did best was reading fashion magazines. I would trace the outline of the styles I love with my finger, dreaming of owning a piece like that.

As I was browsing through one of the very first online blogshop at that time, gave me an idea to start my own. It wasn't a serious thing back then. I just wanted to do it for fun as I was more passionate about the clothes, than the money.

website

So came about, Clothes For Fun. It was baby's idea to name my little blogshop Clothes For Fun because it was all about fun. As I recalled, I knew little of designing then. So my blogshop was pretty much the classic blogspot layout as compared to now. However, that did not stop me.

I brought in pieces that I would wear to sell. I didn't believe in bringing in products that are not me, that I don't like wearing. Hence, most of the clothes that I've brought in for the last 4 years are the kind that I love wearing, that is the key where my passion has kept me going for 4 years and counting.

Jan-Collection

It feels great really, being able to achieve something like that. Not everybody can tell themselves that they've a successful business, eventhough mine is on a smaller scale compared to other businesses on the market. Even when there are times that are hard and demotivating, there are even better times during running Clothes For Fun.

Feb-Collection

When people asks me, what is it that keeps me going. I would always tell them about the passion I have for fashion. It's all about doing something you love, which literally gives you pleasure and in return not feeling like it is a chore or work at all when running the business. I always believe that that is the key to every business. You have to love what you do. Therefore, 4 years later and I am still doing it.

Mar-Collection

I recently just left my job to pursue Clothes For Fun full time. Before this, I can only do it part time, after working hours and during whatever free time I have during the weekend. Why did I decide to make it full time? All I can say is it just came to me like it was meant to be.

Apr-Collection

I have to thank all the girls who have supported me throughout the existence of Clothes For Fun. Without the support and love given, Clothes For Fun wouldn't have lasted 4 years and it always take two to clap in everything that we do. So I would love to thank all of you, friends and family for all the support you've given me for the past 4 years and more.

May-Collection

Many may think that working from home is an easy-peasy job. That I am practically free all the time. Well, let me tell you why you are wrong. Owning a business isn't like working for someone else where you only have specific things to do and be worry-free. Owning a business means the more effort you dedicate towards the business, the better the returns. Hence, the lesser you put your time into it, the lesser the income. Plain simple.

June-Collection

Sitting here right now, in front of my laptop, blogging about this really made me realize how lucky I actually am. To have the love of my life, friends, family and people around me. I've never realized to how much the extend, sometimes people tend to take for granted of what they already have, but I am glad that I decided to blog about this because it reminds me of how much I have, and I should be very thankful for that. :D

July-Collection

Thanks for reading this post :D
It means alot, truly alot on my behalf.

As you can see, there's a Clothes For Fun Like Box which I've just created not long ago due to Facebook taking away our initial Clothes For Fun group page. I would so love you if you can click Like :D muaxxxx (I promise, no spam tagging involved)

Fireflies & Booze

2

Last weekend was an unusual one. Planned to chill out at Urbanscapes but found out that we had to pay RM40 to get into the event which was ridiculous. A friend of mine mentioned Groupon was selling tickets at RM26 but that wasn't the point. I merely wanted to go and check out the bazaar, not the performances and I didn't find paying RM40 or RM26 worth it at all because I simply do not believe in paying to get into a flea market where I need to pay more to shop. So we scraped that off and headed to Midvalley to hunt for some nice sexy bikinis. Mission failed, went off empty handed but at least I did not have to pay RM40 just to enter the mall, get my drift?

3

Anyways, baby decided to take us to watch fireflies that night and I was excited because I've not seen fireflies before. Dropped by at Starbucks along the way to chill out with Kev before we started our journey.

1

We didn't know how to go actually but thanks to my one and only trusted gadget, tuk tuk brought us there in one piece! It took us about 1.5hours..and by the time we reached it was about 8pm.

Decided to grab dinner before visiting those fireflies. Headed to their one and only Firefly Seafood Restaurant which was next door to the place.

5

Peanuts for us to munch while we wait for our food.
Fresh orange juice at RM4.50 a glass.
Baby ordered normal fried rice with fried egg which costed RM6.
I ordered normal fried rice with bits of fried salted fish which was RM6.
Then we shared a small plate of salt & pepper squids which was RM15.

I'd say, do not expect anything from the fried rice at all. It wasn't good but we really didn't mind cos we were hungry and there weren't any other restaurants nearby. The squids were really good, which was a surprise!
Fresh juice was thick and smooth, worth the price.

Oh one important thing, be prepared for bugs, mozzies, insect of all kinds. Put on layers of insect repellant on your body. Never ever take that for granted.

Entrance fee is RM15 per person, last boat out will be out at 9.30pm. So, don't be late or else the boat men might take that as an advantage and charge you double (happened to one of our friends).

4

The boat ride takes about 25 minutes and the boat man brings you along the river by the trees that the fireflies hang around. When I first saw them, lighting up tree after tree, it was like Christmas. They really look like little light bulbs from far, circling around the trees that they live on. It was really romantic because I was just watching them in awe, wondering how on earth an insect can make something looked so beautiful and I was watching all these with the person I love most.

We managed to catch one light up on our camera (last photo) because whenever there are lights around them, they turn off their little bums. So it was quite difficult to catch them on camera but we managed to catch just one little tiny light bum when we were walking back on the jetty. One even stuck itself on baby's car until it flew off when we reached an intersection.

After watching those twinkling fireflies, we headed back towards Tom Dick & Harry's at The Scott Garden to join some of our friends for a drink. You can check out my post here for their SNEAK PEAK media launch night that I attended.

6

Since their booze menu is opened, I made the effort to try their cocktails. I had Long Island Tea the first round. Told Colin, one of the owners, to make it KAO KAO! That's usually how I love my Long Island Tea and I found that they've priced their cocktails very very reasonable as my drink was only at RM22. A figure I found to be lower than most of the places I've been to and TDH makes good cocktails too! Definitely satisfaction guranteed. After finishing my glass I ordered another one of my favourite cocktail, Sex on the beach for RM22 as well! and it tasted good. Still, I've not come across one that beats the Sex on the beach that my friend, Shane made for me when I visited him at Le Meridien.

7

So we chilled and had fun. I'd say TDH is going to be the one pub & grub me and my friends will be hanging out at pretty often. :)

How to achieve Flat Belly in 10 ways!

Saw this going around Facebook the other day and I thought, "Why not share it on my blog?" That way I don't have to dig into my memory one day wondering what was that site I saw the other day about flat belly tricks and then soon forget about it.

So here ya go, I think it is worth a try for those who are very determine to achieve flat belly. Me here, not so determined. Have been trying to lose that stupid belly for ages but damn fail. So anyway, for those who are stronger in will than I am...good luck!

This article is from : here

1

Don't even think about sucking it in so you'll fit into those cute, fitted white jeans: There are less-painful and longer-lasting ways to get the amazing middle you crave. We went straight to experts to get their very best advice for quickly shrinking your tummy. Here are the surprising foods, tricks, and moves they swear by. Their genius tips will help you shed inches and pounds, banish the bloat, and feel even more gorgeous. Hello, skinny jeans!

2

"You must eat a snack that contains protein between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Go for a protein bar, a piece of low-fat cheese, or some almonds with an organic apple.

No matter what, do not miss that snack. It's important because it boosts metabolism and balances blood sugar. The lower you keep your blood sugar, the lower you keep your insulin, and insulin makes you store fat around your middle. Eating every three to four hours will keep your blood sugar even, but many people tend to go five or six hours between lunch and dinner without eating."

–Natasha Turner, naturopathic doctor, author of The Hormone Diet

3

"My No. 1 tip: Do the ball exchange three times a week. Lay flat on your back with your arms above your head and legs straight out. Start with a stability ball above your head in your hands. Bring the ball up above your chest as you bring your legs up to meet the ball and place it between your ankles. Bring the ball back down to the floor with your legs and straighten your arms back out over your head.

Repeat the ball exchange 10 to 12 times, remembering to keep your lower back pressed into the floor as you do this move."

–LaReine Chabut, author of Exercise Balls for Dummies

4

"Eat as close to zero grams of sugar as possible. This will keep insulin levels low and also keep levels of glucagon high. Glucagon, a hormone, is the best friend you could ever have in the struggle for a flat belly! Picture Ms. Pac-Man traveling around your waistline, gobbling up fat to be used as energy. That is glucagon.

The closer to zero grams of sugar you consume, the lower your insulin and the higher your glucagon...it's as simple as that."

–Jorge Cruise, author of The Belly Fat Cure

5

"Chewing is the No. 1 tip I give to prevent bloating. Chew food until it is like applesauce in your mouth. Digestion begins in the mouth, and without proper chewing, food is not well-digested. Better-digested food means less gas and bloating."

–Dawn Jackson Blatner, RD, author of The Flexitarian Diet

6

"I recommend the DCBA approach: Diet first, Cardio second, Building muscle third, and Abs exercises last. Follow it and you can safely lose one to two pounds a week. Spend 60 minutes a day preparing healthier meals. Spend 20 minutes a day three to five times weekly doing cardio. Spend 15 minutes a day three times a week strength training. Finally, spend 5 minutes a day three times a week doing abs exercises."

–Myatt Murphy, author of The Body You Want in the Time You Have

7

"The culprit making your tummy bloat? It could be the salt in your diet. Use natural sea salt or kosher salt, which is lower in sodium teaspoon for teaspoon than traditional table salts. And stay away from soy sauce: Even low-sodium soy sauce is still high in sodium and will cause practically instant bloating.

Instead, flavor your food with a little fresh tomato salsa or a hint of cayenne pepper, which has an added benefit of boosting metabolism."

–Susan Irby, "The Bikini Chef" and author of Substitute Yourself Skinny

8

"Add boxing to your cardio routine. When you throw punches with weights or at a fast pace, you're working your core in a way that helps to flatten your midsection. You must engage your core to throw punches, and twisting your torso works all the ab muscles.

Boxing also gives you a cardio workout that burns extra calories. Add 16 minutes of boxing three times a week to your regular cardio routine (30 minutes at high intensity four to five times a week), and you can lose up to 2 inches from your waist in four weeks. Simply throw punches while holding 1- or 2-pound weights for 8 minutes, alternating arms, then repeat without weights at a faster pace for 8 more minutes."

–Michael Olajide Jr. and Leila Fazel, co-founders of Aerospace High Performance Center in New York City

9

"Play up a different body part to draw attention from your middle.

If it's your legs, wear skirts or slim pants. Shoulders—bare them even if just a bit with a boatneck or sweetheart neckline. Cleavage? Make sure your bra does its job. If your bra rides up in the back, the bra has likely stretched out. If it accentuates back flab or if the space between the cups doesn't lie flat, go up a size."

–Kim Johnson Gross, style expert and author of What to Wear for the Rest of Your Life

10

"Eating portion-controlled meals that include whole-grain foods and monounsaturated fats (MUFAs) throughout the day is the best way to eat for a flat belly: People who eat whole grains lose more abdominal fat. And making most of the fats you eat MUFAs reduces ab flab, research says."

–Keri Glassman, RD, author of The O2 Diet and The Snack Factor Diet

11

Best breakfast: A slice of whole-wheat bread with natural peanut butter and 1 cup of your favorite berries.

Best lunch: Spinach salad with sliced avocado, grilled firm tofu, and cherry tomatoes, drizzled with a little olive oil and fresh lemon juice.

Best dinner: Grilled salmon, a roasted sweet potato, and sautéed asparagus with olive oil and garlic.

Best snack: A cup of fat-free yogurt with 2 tablespoons sunflower seeds.

12

"The best thing for your abs is laughing. Every time you laugh it strengthens your abs. There are even laughing yoga classes (Go to Laughter Yoga to find a class near you). If you start busting a gust, you are absolutely toning your abs."

–Kristin McGee, Pilates expert

Tom Dick & Harry's SNEAK PEAK at Scott Garden @ Old Klang Road

268226_10150249594264934_184370164933_7595068_4482482_n

When I first saw the sign of Tom Dick & Harry's work in progress at Scott Garden, Old Klang Road, I am one happy girl!

If you didn't already know, Tom Dick & Harry's is a local pub & grub located at Taman Tun Dr Ismail. I first know of them from Malaysia's Hottest Bloggers as my first meet was for brunch at TDH. However I couldn't make it but I made it a point to visit TDH for their famous breakfast menu. I blogged about it here, check it out!

The down side of TDH being at TTDI for me is the distance. I would love to visit TDH like, every single day but really, petrol nowadays is rather taxing so can you imagine, a place like TDH along Old Klang Road? with the nearest being Brotzeit at Midvalley for pork knuckles and oh-so-delicious bacon pizza? and now I can just drive like 5 minutes to TDH for something as sinful as their famous porky fries? Can you imagine my happiness?? Okay, maybe you can't but let me tell you, I AM PRETTY HAPPY..pretty pretty happy :D

282680_10150249593599934_184370164933_7595051_6934160_n

So anyway, I was invited to their SNEAKY SNEAK PEAK media preview launch last Thursday. I was superbly tired with so many things going on during the day that I actually was thankful for TDH to have their launch that night because I got to unwind with some of my girls.

The 2nd TDH outlet at Scott Garden was decorated with the same concept as their outlet at TTDI. Concrete base floors and walls, contemporary wooden finishes, wooden outdoorsy benches, cozy lights, and the most important of all, a big ass bar with all 'em fine beverage no where near old klang road can offer!!
