As it was my first official food review night with Malaysia's Hottest Bloggers, I was thrilled!

Calling myself a blogger from the day I began blogging, I've not attended any official food review before. Those food reviews that I've done are mainly places I've dined in with friends, family and the fiance which I wanted to share with the rest of the world.

These are just some description of Brotzeit that I've heard and so far this place has a lot of good reviews among bloggers. Some mentioned that the prices are quite high, especially for those who want to include Brotzeit as part of their daily place to dine. However, having tried their dishes last Wednesday, I was actually mesmerized by how great their food tasted and I would actually say that you get what you pay for, unlike some restaurants which claim that they have the finest but they actually don't and judging by the amount of dishes they served us girls and the portions of each dish, you would have thought that we were a group of twenty but merely, there were just six of us!


My first cup of Paulaner beer served by Jason, the organizer of Blogger's Night at Brotzeit. Surpsingly, I actually like it. I am in no way a beer person, because I don't really like the taste of it, but this beer, and not because this is a food review post, but seriously, I actually like it.

Did you know that there's such a thing as Mango Paulaner? Thanks to Grace that night, she recommended it to us, I tried it and loved it! Recommended to those who doesn't like the taste of beer but who wants to drink beer. It tastes a lot like mango mix beer which isn't that bad because mango is sweet and it covers the taste of beer. If you know what I mean.

This was our first dish, and boy, it was the best dish of the night! If you love bacon, love this!

I love these little pork cheese sausages. Exotic little things that oozes cheese into your mouth when you take the first bite. Oh, yummy!


Knoblauchwurst / Garlic Sausages RM38

My first visit to Brotzeit, I had this dish and it was superb. I am a fan of all sour things so I love the Sauerkraut which came as sides. Roasted potatoes were awesome as well. Lastly, the pork garlic sausages was the main reason why I ordered this dish. I totally love pork, and I absolutely love garlic. So a win win right?!


By the time we hit this dish, we were completely bloated. Really, Brotzeit was so generous with their servings that we couldn't even pick up our forks for this. It was slices of ham top on their home made bread with two bulls-eye, served with fries and salad as sides.


I had a portion of this. Just seeing the melted mozzarella on those tomatoes, no force in this world can stop me! Smoked ham with roasted pork belly topped with tomatoes and melted mozzarella cheese!

Ah, when it comes to dessert, I am not as good as Sarah who enjoys eating them so much so that she had to steal my fork of dessert!

A sinful dessert made from scratch by Brotzeit's chef, Helmut Murmann. At first I thought it was ice cream but Sarah told me it wasn't because it doesn't melt. I felt like a doink because duh it was right in front of me and it wasn't melting at all! Then I found out that it was made of whipped cream, topped with some sort of cranberry/strawberry sauce which made my entire night there! I absolutely love berries :D


Enjoying my dessert. It was actually a failed attempt of looking sexy (prompted by Andy!) while eating a forkful of sinful dessert.

And that was the end of my Brotzeit food review journey. It was also a blogger's night launch where other groups of bloggers were there too. Lots of laughter, flashing of camera flashes (i know it sounds weird), catching ups and tonz of fun that night. The atmosphere was great, I would definitely visit Brotzeit again for the bacon pizza that I am so craving now due to looking at all those food pictures from Andy Kho (the official photograher for MHB).

Pommes means something to do with potatoes so I would assume that it should be either fries or wedges. Coffee or Tea to go with my fries or wedges..hmmm and lastly, Kaiserschmarrn which is one of the desserts that I tried mentioned above!

Cocoa Cappuccino @ Starbucks

Its raining hard now, just outside my window and I can hear raindrops splattering against my room window. Usually when it rains like this, my room tends to flood. Yeah, I kid you not. I have been living like this for the past..well since I moved here with my mom when I was 13. What I would do at times like this? Well, nothing much but to put a rug under my window so that the water doesn't flow and spread underneath my bed like it used to, or flow towards my railing of clothes which is close by. Or, I simply sit back, don't bother and blog about unrelated stuff like how the new Starbucks Cocoa Cappuccino tastes like.



Recently, I read somewhere in a magazine that there's a new drink at Starbucks while sipping my usual hot cup of cappuccino. The weirdest thing was, I was in Starbucks when I read about it and the new cup of Cocoa Cappuccino was nowhere to be seen. So I guessed it wasn't launched yet. The very next day, I heard it on radio that there's a new drink in town and it was available at all Starbucks. I just have to try it.

Today was the day I made my way to the nearest Starbucks and ordered a cup of Tall Hot Cocoa Cappuccino @ RM11.50. Something about me you should know. I don't really like to drink cocoa or any form of chocolate drink. So for me to try this one, I should have known that it wouldn't top any other pure coffee drinks that I've had.



The presentation was great. It certainly did look exactly like how it was in the poster. With chocolate syrup added on top of your regular cappuccino foam, it was made delicious for me to have a sip of it. First thought that came into my mind when I tried it, not too bad. Definitely would have been better if it was slightly richer and sweeter. For a change from my usual cuppa cappuccino, I thought it was good. However, I still preferred my regular dose of cappuccino or their special Christmas cup of Toffee Nut Latte.

If you are a cocoa and a light coffee lover, this is the right cup of coffee made just for you :D

Women : 100th International Women's Day

Yesterday was 100th International Women's Day and I did not know until today when I read it on Nuffnang and that is where I came across something brilliant.



"In conjunction of 100th International Women's Day, Women: 100 was officially launched yesterday on 8 March, along with PostSecret.my, another component of the Women: 100 project. So I checked out http://manifesto.my/ and I was amazed by how simple an idea can make such a huge difference to both female and male. Through my understanding, MANifesto is a set of commitments that men make towards building a better future for women and MAXim is a set of commitments that women themselves make towards achieving their maximum potential. This will not only benefit the women in our lives but men too as they need to know how to handle some situations when there's their loved ones involved and because they do not speak our language, this will actually help them understand better about the women their life.

The Review of Sanctum

"Sanctum is a 2011 3D adventure drama film directed by Alister Grierson and executive produced by James Cameron.

During an underwater cave exploration in Papua New Guinea, five people are trapped when a cyclone starts flooding the cave. With the water going up and the air running out, their only hope of survival is to travel through the unexplored underwater caves following the course of the river that leads into the ocean." - taken from Wikipedia.

My first thought of the movie when it ended was "hmmm that was pretty okay" but after a while, I realized that there wasn't much story to the characters.



The whole movie is about an underwater exploration and that is what the whole movie is all about! I have nothing much to say actually and the down side of experiencing this movie in 2D is that I did not get to experience the movie in 3D when the movie was made for it's 3D effect and apparently it is, "A 3D Experience That Will Take Your Breath Away" in fine print. So 2D definitely did not take my breath away, I guess 3D will.

My advice to those who actually produce movie posters, PLEASE DO NOT PUT IMPORTANT MESSAGES IN FINE PRINT! We totally did not see the fine print stating that this movie has to be watched in 3D or else we would have gotten tickets for 3D. Wasted our money really. It wasn't cheap as well with RM13 each!

There's nothing much that I love or dislike about this movie because I really don't know how to judge. All I can say is that I did not like some of the characters. Acting wasn't that good. The underwater cave blew me away for a bit because of how monstrous it looked but that was it. Nothing to talk about.



What to expect? I wont be able to tell what the 3D version will be like but for the 2D, you can expect something out of a documentary show on Astro. Lot's of water, no fishes, no corals, only caves and whirlpools and caves. That's about it.
