A Perfect Brunch at Tom Dick & Harry's @ TTDI

Tom-Dick-&-Harry's-5

You know? No you don't!

I didn't know why I had the urge to start with that but do pardon my weird opening of a blog post as I have some delicious news to share with all of you!

I had an AMAZING brunch last Saturday at Tom Dick & Harry's.

Tom-Dick-&-Harry's-3

You know (yes I am gonna tell you now), my first meeting with the Malaysia's Hottest Bloggers peeps was supposed to be at Tom Dick & Harry's for brunch one fine Saturday but my contractor had to call me the day before to tell me that we are short of some tiles, hence I had to cancel my attendance to sort out my tiles issue =_=" and missed out on some AWESOME dishes that they had that day T_T.

I soon forgot about it after attending Brotzeit because you know (uhuh) when I've not tasted something, I don't really know how delicious it actually is, so Brotzeit completely brainwashed me somehow.

Then I saw Sarah's food review post of MHB's food trip to Tom Dick & Harry's and the pictures were .. making my eyes go @_@ and my mouth salivating T_T! and the moral of the story is, when I see something that looked so good and delicious, I just had to try it!

Tom-Dick-&-Harry's-8

The fiance and I made our way to TDH at about 130pm (more like lunch right?) but fraid not! Their breakfast menu stretches to 2pm. Unlike any official food review where the restaurant spoils bloggers with countless plates of dishes, we only ordered two (not much money to spare nowadays =()

Okay, lets start with the good stuff!

Tom-Dick-&-Harry's-9
Coffee/Tea & Mango juice which comes with your breakfast set. I chose coffee as you can see and their coffee is really nice! Extremely smooth and light. My kinda good stuff!

Tom-Dick-&-Harry's-12
Tom-Dick-&-Harry's-7
While waiting for the food, I had to snap this. Loving the whole concrete effect :)

Tom-Dick-&-Harry's-4
Savoury Pancakes RM16

The fiance ordered this and I had a bite, or rather two bites and love the whole pancake texture. It is extremely tasty, the right amount of fluffiness and very light. Doesn't make you feel extremely bloated after you have this and the melted parmesan cheese, people! So so good when melted with that strip of bacon and ham! I've not eaten pancakes this way before but this is a definite must try if you are a pancake lover.

Tom-Dick-&-Harry's-2
Corned Beef Frittatas RM16

Tom-Dick-&-Harry's-1

Sliced it up for a better look on the inside! This is somewhat like a western murtabak. Only it is loaded with bacon bits, ham, errrrrrrrr ham... what was that I tasted? err oh! Hashbrown~! Yeap and it was oh so good!

So we were both really enjoying our meal as we've not had real American breakfast like this in such a long time! Hotels are our favourite for having breakfast actually so if any of you hotel peeps is seeing this, YOU KNOW WHO TO EMAIL!

Tom-Dick-&-Harry's-10
Totally enjoying his meal! Thumbs up yo!

Tom-Dick-&-Harry's-11
Loving my cuppa coffee :D

Tom-Dick-&-Harry's-13
An excellent place for breakfast. Reasonably priced and food is extremely delicious.

Unofficial Food Review at Super GP Caffee @ Taipan USJ & Behind the Scenes of Porsche Cayenne Hybrid photoshoot with Autogridz

It is funny how I am going backwards, blogging about things that has happened 3 weeks ago. Embarrassing-nye but then what to do, no time mah!

So, 3 weeks ago I tagged along with the Autogridz team for a test drive of the new Porsche Cayenne Hybrid and had a feel of the car for about more than 4 hours. Before they prepared for the photoshoot, for the car to be featured in their upcoming issue, we made our way to the 1 week old (then) Super GP Caffee situated somewhere around Taipan, USJ.

I was a little bit curious about the name of the restaurant at first. Super GP? Like Super Grand Prix GP? Yeap, exactly that and truth to its name, the whole restaurant was decorated Grand Prix-ish and I was impressed! Oh, and they specifically reserve spots for Super Cars to park right in front of their restaurant. Sweeeett! (so no super cars no parking lah! hmmph)

Anyways, a little introduction on the layout of the restaurant.

Super-GP-Caffee-9
This is the 1st floor. See! Everything Grand Prix-ish! They were playing Fast & Furious when I was there.

Super-GP-Caffee-8
1st floor where the stage is located. I am guessing that in the future they will be hosting events and stuff here, car related most probably.

Super-GP-Caffee-12
This is the 2nd floor.

Super-GP-Caffee-13
Grand Prix wall paper lining the second floor! I told you so, didn't I?

Super-GP-Caffee-11
They have this chilli red snooker table on the 3rd floor which is a beauty! at sight Damion and Jing wanted to try it out but they didn't have the permit for it yet.

Super-GP-Caffee-10
What a sight from the 3rd floor! Below that is the main entrance on the 1st floor.

Super-GP-Caffee-14
Wall of fame of all things Grand Prix on the 3rd floor just by the snooker table.

So yea, now that you've gotten an idea of what the place looks like, here comes the food. We ordered different dishes to try out and .. I know this is very embarrassing .. but genius here didn't take down the name and price of the food because I thought I could remember everything but who knew I waited 3 whole weeks to blog about this and then I forgot! Nevermind that, I found their website and luckily they provided their menu for me to recap!

Kay, now here we go with the food ..

Super-GP-Caffee-7
Damion's bigass camera!

Right, the food ...

Super-GP-Caffee-6
Mushroom Chicken & Cheese RM27.90

Super-GP-Caffee-4
Mushroom & Cheese Burger RM19.90

The fiance ordered this and I took a bite of their patty. It was absolutely delicious, no kidding you! Better than most of the beef burger I've ever had but then the manager mentioned that they will be revamping their menu soon before their launch so, this might not taste the same anymore.

Super-GP-Caffee-2
GP Burger RM19.90

Super-GP-Caffee-3
Curry Laksa RM8.90

Super-GP-Caffee-5
Tom Yam Fried Rice RM8.90

I had this, and they had a slight problem with the deep fryer. I had to send back my chicken wings four times until they had it right because it wasn't entirely cooked. At the end, they gave me a plate of four chicken wings. ON THE HOUSE! :D

Super-GP-Caffee-1

Chicken wings aside, the fried rice was good.

After about an hour at the Caffee, Damion, the fiance and I headed to Putrajaya for the Porsche Cayenne Hybrid photoshoot. We got there about 1130pm and had trouble with the lighting. However, the view was fantastic! Love roaming Putrajaya at night. Something KL doesn't have.

Cayenne-2
Was playing with the ISO of my camera and finally had a good shot of it in low lighting. Super steady at ISO 80 ok! Don't play play!

Then we headed back to Metropolitan Square's parking lot to shoot the rest of the car. I had a bit of photoshooting madness myself in the carpark as well..LOL

Cayenne-3
NO LEFT TURN, SO REVERSE! I know it doesn't make sense, just making things up as I blog. LOL

Cayenne-1
When I saw this I was speechless. I giggled to myself because I thought, only reserved for WHITE & ORANGE cars! AHAHAHAHA then I tried sharing this joke with the fiance but he just looked at me funny, and said, "WHITE & ORANGE is a company la, b" =_=" ~

So by 130am, we called it a night and they had to continue the next morning for exterior shots..I had fun though :)

My verdict of the Porsche Cayenne Hybrid, it is sleek, air plane-ish interior, luxurious, fit for business outings & family oriented, the thing can be adjusted high and low, yo! What more can I say?

Cayenne-4

Peace out, your one and only dimple maggot!

and then there was that lock of hair

which isn't there anymore.

Ever since our contractor handed in our keys last Thursday, my blog has been totally abandoned (so is my social life). So, here I am trying not to feel guilty for not blogging enough, with a post that was due long ago.

Last Wednesday I went to my usual saloon, Curlers & Trimmers at Desa Sri Hartamas to get my hair snipped off. I tend to get a little bit frightened whenever I am due for a snip because I just love my hair too damn much. So in result to that, there's always these two voices in my head, going..

"Yes, it is time for you to have a new do"
"Nolah, your hair is nice already. Don't cut! You'll regret it!"
"Cut cut cut. You wanted to try something new and hair can always grow back to your desired length anyways"
"What if you don't like it? Cry max!"

Then there goes the third voice, which is mine.

"But but I want new look!"
"Then cut it!"
"But what if I don't like it?"
"Then don't cut it!"
"OMG OMG OMG!!!!!"

Seriously, what the eff right? I mean, this went on and on and on until the very morning I was due to the saloon at 11am.

To really ease my jitters, I had to tell myself to trust my stylist, Nani because she always does a great job. Never ever failed me. EVER!

One thing I love about Curlers & Trimmers is that they are extremely professional and the result of a new hairdo is mostly the way I love it. I've never really come across a saloon that I deem worthy of going to until I tried Curlers because I used to work just a few shops away and I usually go there for a trim.

What I love about them is that they do not try to make small talks with you unnecessarily, I usually hate it when some of the stylist at other saloons try that. I mean, I am not really a talkative person and when they try to talk to you, you know that they don't really give a damn about where you stay or where you work and how nice and wonderful your life is at the end of the day and it just irritates the living shit out of me that if they don't really bother anyways, why make that talk? So yes, I love Curlers for not forcing their stylists to make small talks with their customers.

Another thing that I love is how they are very detailed. Once when I had a badly cut fringe from this Korean saloon (never ever go to a Korean saloon!), I had to run over to Curlers for Nani to fix it. This was my first visit because I knew that they are professional and I just had to pay that extra bit to get my fringe fixed or else I'll probably look like some gone wrong wannabe china doll fringe person, when all I wanted was to have Katie Holmes' fringe T.T! and that was when I discovered Nani and the talent she possessed! She took about an hour to cut my fringe back to it's shape. An Hour! That is how detailed they are at Curlers. So after that, I vowed to myself to never go any other saloon other than Curlers and I have been sticking to that vow ever since.

Anyway, back to what I was saying. Yep, I had my hair trimmed (more like chopped!) last Wednesday. Went a little earlier than my appointed time and she was already there waiting for me :D Told her exactly what I wanted, and she started off with a hair wash.

It was by far the best hair wash I've ever had! Extremely good and relaxing. I don't mind just paying them for a hair wash, seriously.

hairdo

1 - After my hair wash, she combed my hair all down and started cutting! jeng jeng jeng!
2 - Finished snipping off most of my hair and it was blow drying time!
3 - I think she was a little bit shy because whenever I point my phone, she tries turning away. Either that, or she was just annoyed that I had to take a photo :/
4 - Almost done, now blowing fringe. Can't wait to see the end result!

hairdo-1
Then I squinted....

hairdo-2
and saw the length (please excuse my drastic expression)

hairdo-3
checked the length..

hairdo-4
and totally love it! LOVE IT!

So if you really want a good cut, make your way to
