And so, 6th of January 2011 marked the day when we've first gotten our own home. A home which is quiet, serene and most important of all, away from the busy city life.
I've always dreamed of having my own home. A place where I can truly feel comfortable in. Bits and pieces of me here and there, shared with the person I love. Well, the wait is finally over. We will be starting our life together in this quaint little unit.
I will be blogging about the little improvements that we will be making to this place. Every corner with things that we love, and of our taste. Soon, this place will be decorated with everything that we both love and I can't wait! I know it will turn out pretty good :D
Here are some pictures of it as it was when we got it. Some of it we've already gotten rid of during our free time and some we will be keeping to refurbish. Hope you'll enjoy! This will be a fun process for the both of us.
Living & Dining
To date we've already gotten rid of most of the furnitures in the pictures you will be seeing after this photo. Over the weekend, we've gotten Sam Pou charity organization to collect unwanted furnitures and now our place is pretty much empty. This is the living area. The balcony overlooks the entire swimming pool :)
This is the dining area. We didn't rid off the dining table as I love how it is very antique. Made of solid wood and you can hardly find that nowadays!
Kitchen
This is the overall look of the kitchen. Pretty small but I think once we strip everything off and build in new cabinets, it'll look good! This is one section where I can't wait to see how it'll turn out when it is done!
The left side of the kitchen. The fridge is now gone. The counter was given away to an aunt. Pretty much bare now.
The right side of the kitchen. We are going to demolish this whole thing and build in a new one. Can't wait!
The back kitchen where I am going to turn it into the laundry area.
Also the back kitchen which will be turned into the laundry area.
Very dirty blinds hiding our unit from plain sight of the neighbors.
Room 1
Everything in this room is basically gone by now. Well. except for this air-con unit. Real old school! and it is still working. I don't even recall seeing this myself when air-cons were attached with the compressors as one! This will be gone too in a matter of time.
Room 2
Everything in here is also given away to the recycle organization The previous occupant of this room is a heavy metal lover and we had to take off all the posters he stuck to the wall. Pretty bad. When I was cleaning the room, the amount of curly hair I swept..ugh!
Anyways, this will be turned into our guest room.
Room 3
This room will be turned into our storage room. Planning to get some IKEA wooden storage racks for it. Tonz of stuff to be kept away!
Bathroom 2
Bathroom no.2. Both bathrooms will be strip off the tiles and to be made smooth with concrete. Over the weekend we went to Houz Depot and they have some pretty nice looking bathroom sets with affordable prices.
Till the next update, have a great day!
