WonderMama

11

My first thought : How did the name come about?
Anyway, I still don't know.

Been to WonderMama at Bandar Village a couple of times now and I find that the food is mediocre, but people do seem to take a liking to that place. Mostly because like others, I find the place really pleasant to dine in. The servers were a little under trained but I guess that's normal given that services at most of the restaurants in Malaysia isn't top notch either. Rustic pots and pans, oil lamps and tin can mugs can be found as decoration which gives a really back dated feel to the restaurant. Funny that what we see now in a modern restaurant or cafe are things from the past, like fashion, how high waist skirts and shorts are back in trend. Instead of moving forward, we are heading back in time. The irony of that!

Anyway, here are some pretty pictures I've captured during my visit :

1
I love their logo! Isn't the bird cute :)

2
Desserts! and some of our childhood sugar drops.

I think they've reprinted their menu from the last that I went. This was taken when it was open not too long ago.

5
Bacon Fried Rice the hubs had which was okay.

4
I ordered Chicken Pong Teh which is braised chicken with potatoes. Pretty homecooked style but I thought it was nothing special. Came with fried tofu skin with steamy white rice.

According to them, this is one of their specials. Rose Lemon with Sago. I love it!

Hubs wanted to try their chendol. He is quite a fan of chendols actually but it was okay. We've tasted better though.

Went there three times and tried other dishes. The Kampung Fried Rice wasn't too bad but the thing is, it didn't come with Kangkung. Those who are a fan of Kampung Fried Rice will know that a classic plate of Kampung Fried Rice must come with Fried Ikan Bilis and Kangkung. Their Japanese Curry Cheese Fries are pretty unique though. I wouldn't really recommend their Spicy Fried Chicken Salad and their Chicken Burger though. Not really worth the price.

I wouldn't really say they have really good food but I wouldn't say they have bad food either. I'd probably give them 5/10 ratings.

The Eyelash Thing

My days have been super hectic right after New Year's as I am juggling work and wedding planning at the same time. Taking a break right now to blog about this new eyelash product that's really awesome.

Believe it or not, I used to go out without applying any mascara because I thought it wouldn't make any difference when my lashes are already so short. So who will be able to see them if I curled and apply a coat or two, right? Wrong.

My friend then taught me how to apply, tried it out on myself and I immediately saw the difference. Ever since, I've been on the look out for a good one and recently came across KISS ME. The best thing about KISS ME range of mascara is that they took the liberty to create a Mascara Remover as well. When I first heard of it, I literally went, "No Way!!" but really, it was just there on the counter, waiting to be tested.

So after that I am crazy over KISS ME and their range of goodness. THAT'S NOT ALL actually. The thing is, they came up with a new range and the two that I am blogging about today are called KISS ME Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara in Jet Black and I so love them. Gorgeous lengthening effect plus it extends your eyelashes to 120%! This practically solves our (Asian girls) problem.

Then there's that AMAZING KISS ME Heroine Mascara Remover. It's not even hard to remove the mascara anymore. It has a comb-like wand (similar to a mascara's wand) and all you do is comb your lashes gently with the remover. Leave it on for about a minute, wipe if off with a cotton pad and everything comes off. I've tried it and have been using it for more than a year plus now, so trust me. I know for sure how amazing it is.

And the reason why I am practically over the moon to blog about this is because I am so excited to tell you that I will be giving away a set of these two (KISS ME Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara in Jet Black & MISS ME Heroine Mascara Remover) , courtesy of KISS ME of course, to a very lucky winner.
