What is your Wonderland?

Everybody knows what Alice's Wonderland looks like and we all want a piece of that. Just to have a tiny rabbit hole to crawl into, stumbling through giant flowers or living the life of a Cheshire Cat (all you do is appear and disappear with a wide smile), instead, we drag ourselves up everyday to crawl through crazy jams and before even reaching the office, we are already counting the needle on the clock to strike 6PM.

What if I told you that there's a place where your dreams will make a Galaxy Wonderland? A place where everyone can share what they are most inspired of and watch as everybody's dreams and inspiration forms a true Wonderland. A place where only dreams are made of.

Fascinating isn't it?
I know! I was too when I first heard of it. Everybody wants a piece of Wonderland, but why not build this place together?

Samsung has collaborated with Malaysian singer-songwriter Yuna Zarai yet again, for a brand new project called Galaxy Wonderland (galaxywonderland.my). This was build on the success of the first project - the award winning Sparkle Project.

So what is Galaxy Wonderland all about?

2

Through the stories and inspirations that are shared on Galaxy Wonderland, illustrators, will populate the online portal with whimsical illustrations using the Samsung Galaxy Note II. Making a whole new world, with your dreams! Can you imagine a world with Durian Flowers, Nasi Lemak Hills, Colorful Turtles and so much more?

1

More than that, these beautiful representations of Malaysian stories will be incorporated in a music video featuring Yuna’s new song and produced with the GALAXY Note II.

All that with the Samsung Galaxy Note II? Crazy, isn't it?

I submitted my own inspiration of Malaysia as well.

TADAHHHHH!!! This is what I love most about Malaysia. It'ss islands!

Okay it was suppose to look like this picture.

This was taken when I went to Pulau Perhentian not too long ago and I love this picture. It is now on my Facebook Cover, if you must know. So far, I've been to many islands along the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, but next year I am aiming to fly over to Sipadan to check out its' beauty.

Did you know that our islands are much more beautiful than most around the world? Don't count Bora Bora and Maldives but really, these islands have brought many tourist and a few have stayed on to make the place their home.

I really can't wait to see how Samsung is going to incorporate my inspiration of Malaysia into Galaxy Wonderland! Come, lets build a Wonderland together, shall we? This is a place where dreams are made of galaxywonderland.my

Fun with Samsung Galaxy Note II

Back when Draw Something was so popular among smart phone users, it was crazy fun drawing for people to guess and guessing someone else's in return. I don't think drawing is my forte actually. I guess I'm just not that creative. Check this one out

drawsomething

I did this for Erica and she couldn't even make of what it was. That bad. When I was drawing it, I thought it came out pretty CLEAR that it was what it was. I guess not.

Then, Draw Something literally (literally literally - Robin Scherbatsky) died like, after 1 week. Everyone got bored of it and it became ancient.

So anyway, I have something fun and exciting for you to do and it has to do with being creative. Even if you can't draw to safe yourself, this is just for fun! You might also get the chance to win something at the end of it too!

Samsung Galaxy Note II is all about being Creative (underlined) and I know most of you are creative in your own unique way but really, just click http://becreative.my/ and you'll see what I mean. If you own a Samsung Galaxy Note II all the better but if you don't, then you'll get a little taste of what being creative with Samsung Galaxy Note II is all about!

It's pretty fun actually. I love coloring. Who doesn't?!
Check out what my popcorn looks like! (sounds funny and weird)

Pick either Ernest Zacharevic, Sharifah Aman, Adam C or Razif Hashim. I went with Sharifah because she is a lady! Sexist, I know. ;D

Pretty simple. All I did was play around with the tools for a bit and I was pretty much convinced that I can come up with something creative!

H-Artistry The Global Art of Mixing Party 2012

Why I have so many backlogged post? Well, it was mainly because my birthday present from the hubs consists of a Playstation 3 + Final Fantasy 13 + Final Fantasy 13-2. That alone, sent me to tears of happiness when I first tore away the paper wrapper of the dvd and then to realize that the bigger present was a PS3. I've always always wanted one so that I can continue FF13 from where I was left of FF12. Though they aren't the same story, I completely love RPG games, especially FF series and Kingdom Hearts.

Now that I've finished my games and while I am patiently waiting for FF13 : Lightnig Returns and Kindgom Hearts 3 to be released, I've decided to get back to blogging.

lighting wasn't that good and my camera ain't no dslr. teresa, baby, me & julian

This year's H-Artistry HALO 2012 was held at none other than the yearly appointed venue of the event, MIECC (Malaysia International Exhibition and Convention Centre).

As you've probably noticed that this year, the parking lot at the venue was not available and this was mainly to encourage everyone to not drink and drive. If you are there to attend a drinking event, "don't drink and drive" definitely doesn't apply to those who went driving. However, the event organizers have arranged 500 cabs for those who needed assistance to head home and they were kind enough to provide RM20 as subsidy.

Admittedly, I wasn't too keen on this change because it means really bad traffic jam. Not everybody in KL will take the effort to get a cab to the venue because it was raining heavily and people would prefer to drive. The hubs and I made our way there by car, but when we go to these events, we usually go back sober. At least, one of us. Okay, at least him. He will always make sure that he doesn't drink too much because he needs to make sure both of us gets home safe.

The traffic there was insanely jam! It was pouring and people were forced to park inside Mines Shopping Centre and some tried to go into MIECC which caused even more jam because then they've had to back out on a one way lane. We were pretty lucky to find parking by the roadside, but walking in the rain with makeup and high heels wasn't a great start to a much anticipated event for me.

We arrived at 11pm, right on to watch Block B taking the stage. It wasn't as packed as it was last year, I'd say that the organizers did a great job in making sure that the place had ample space for people to walk and dance. The bars at the lobby were out of Hennessy (really surprising though), so we had to move in towards Zone O to get some drinks.

Right below Zone O, there was a bar as well and I decided to get a drink there. Here's where I rant about how idiotic the bartender was. One of the bartender poured H mix Apple for me but there's no ice. It was the other bartender's job to pour me some ice from the ice box but he was actually toying with me. I actually had very little patience when the ice was just behind him but he pretended not to hear my request and kept a smirk on his face. He continued pouring drinks for everybody who got there after me and I think, about half an hour later, he finally took the scoop and scooped 3 glasses worth of ice and poured it into my glass, causing everything to spill around my hand as I was holding onto the glass. Shocked! I stared at him and he was smiling, saying "ENOUGH???" and went on back doing his thing. I was downright pissed off. Why on earth H-Artistry hired barmen like him, I really don't know but for your future events, please do screen through all of them to avoid any incidents such as this. Note that this was my FIRST glass.

We took a corner, and chilled there the entire night. The atmosphere wasn't hyped up then but when it came to Havana Brown & Starkillers, it was pumping hard!

When I was heading out, there were H-Artistry Ambassadors giving out bottles of mineral water which I gladly took! Drinking loads of water after taking in alcohol is a must if you don't want your body to go into hangover mode the next day. It is also to flush out as much toxin as possible.

DSC03307

Overall, I only managed to enjoy the mixes towards the end of the night. I hope the next HA has better quality check on the bartenders and more DJs that spins dance music. Afterall, it is an alcohol event. People would probably be more keen to party if it was RNB, House or Electro. Sets the mood right, know what I mean? That's my opinion.

Looking forward to the next HA installment! Keep it locked on www.h-artistry.com.my for updates on future H-Artistry events slated for 2013.

The awesomest Birthday ever!

This should be old news by now but I've got to pen this down. I had the awesomest birthday celebration ever! My friends tried to do a surprise thing for me but it never happened because someone accidentally mentioned it on the group chat but we had a really good time at Nero Fico, an Italian restaurant in Damansara Heights. Just slightly before The Hill.

DSC02800

This year, instead of celebrating in a club with head banging music and loads of alcohol, I wanted a toned down birthday celebration. So, baby arranged a little one at Nero Fico.

The ambience of the restaurant was really nice! It's a place where people wine and dine while listening to a live band. I was pretty awed by how lovely the setting was. Dimly lit with dark wood flooring. Wine bottles covered most of their walls and I love how it was so cozy and comfortable.

DSC02814

We ordered a few of their mains to share. I love the Vongole that I ordered! It was superbly delicious, the pasta was really flavorful with the scallops and clams that came with it. There was this Clam Chowder thingie that Ju ordered and it was crazy good! I can still taste it now! Other than that, we had pizza, wine and some cocktails.

It was funny this one time when the band was playing a birthday song wghile one of the waiter came out with a cake and I thought it was for ME! but then everyone at the table said, it wasn't because the other table was celebrating a birthday as well. Can you imagine how embarrassed I was, maybe just for a tiny second when I noticed that another cake came out, and this time it was heading directly towards ME! damn! LOL.

DSC02834

I was really touched that everyone made the effort to make my day special for me. I seldom celebrate my birthday with the usual birthday cake and songs but what all of them did for me this year, I really couldn't ask for more.

KH bought me a few balloons and one was really special because it said, "Queen for the day!" and I held on to it like it was made specially for me! KH and Z also gave me a bottle of Moet. I love champagnes! The rest gave me Sephora cash vouchers so that I can buy whatever I like from Sephora instead of them getting something I don't. I still have not gone and claim my birthday present yet, but I will soon!
My birthday cake was from RT, and I can't believe KH chose coffee! Nobody knows that I love coffee so much, except for this girl and I've not had a coffee birthday cake before! Thanks, girl :)

We spent the rest of the night eating, drinking, chatting, and mostly taking loads of photos. Teresa brought her Instant Camera, forgot what it is called but we took loads of photos and they are now stuck to my fridge.

DSC02847

All in all I was crazy happy and contented. I realized that I have friends who actually care about my birthday and make the effort to make me feel special. Thank you so much for being awesome! and of course, all of this won't be complete if it wasn't for baby who took effort to arrange it. I love you much much :)
