If only we could grow Marshmallow Brown hair

I know that you know that we all know what is Liese Bubble Hair Colour but what some of you might not know is how lovely Marshmallow Brown turned out to be :D

I've been wanting to give my hair a brand new colour-do and I've only had Liese in mind. So, I went through a couple of reviews of Liese's Marshmallow Brown and Chiffon Beige before I decided on a colour. Came to realize that these two were favourites among those who have tried Liese.

Like about a year ago, I tried a bottle of Marshmallow Brown but the colour did not turn out as shown on the package and a bottle was only enough for shoulder length hair and mine was like waist length, so it might not have worked because there wasn't sufficient dye. If it was stated on the box, I would have bought two but it was only mentioned on the leaflet that was inside the box.



SO, THIS TIME I BOUGHT TWO BOTTLES! and it was more than enough =_=

As ironic as it is, Liese Bubble Hair Colour is supposed to be as easy as squeeze foam onto hand and shampoo your head like you usually do when showering but if I did it myself, I probably wouldn't have gotten my whole head to bubble up if it weren't for the help of the fiance. #failmax

So remember to get someone else to help you as well.


Before - with Marshmallow Brown dye a year ago (which was less than a shade lighter from my normal dark brown) & highlights from The Met

STEP 1
Remember to get a towel that has no value to you in the past, present or future. GO NAKED and put it around your shoulders.

STEP 2

Put on gloves that are provided in the box

STEP 3




Pour liquid from brown bottle into transparent bottle. Seal it with the white cap, terbalik (forgot the english version) the thing at least 5 times until mixture becomes dark brown like the picture above. DO NOT SHAKE VIGOROUSLY !

STEP 4

Put on pink cap, gently press the middle part of the bottle when it is upright. If you spot light purple foam coming out from the bottle, then you have the PERFECT dye!


Lather everything onto head. Make sure you've covered your hairline.


Then meditate for 30 minutes

STEP 5
GO NAKED entirely. Rinse head with luke warm water without getting any water into your eyes. Shampoo twice then towel dry hair

STEP 6

Apply treatment provided onto towel dried hair and then DRY THOROUGLY

TADAH!

After - with new Marshmallow Brown dye

As you can see, a much lighter shade. My previous highlights are still visible but not that obvious anymore. It will probably get lighter after 2 more wash.

I am pretty satisfied this time round :D

Oh by the way, the cheapest that I found was at Watson priced RM34.90/bottle as compared to the pharmacy outside Jusco Midvalley at RM37.90/bottle. However, if you wish to have plenty of colours available (click here for colour list) for you to choose from, go to the one outside Jusco instead of Watson and remember to get two bottles if your hair length exceeds your shoulder.

As you've recently noticed (or not), my titles are inspired from song lyrics and today's "the one who sang a silent song" is from Cloud Cult's The Deaf Girl's Song.



Just a few days ago, I stumbled across this really awesome coffee joint at Damansara Perdana. Decided to check it out with my other half and found out that this place is actually a Deaf-in-Business project called Coffees of Hawaii.

"....featuring the best coffees and tisanes (herbal tea) from the islands of Hawaii, our team is also equally unique: 95% of our staff are deaf/hard of hearing. All of them do not have any experience as a Barista and neither do they have any restaurant experience. I simply love the place. It felt so relaxing, drinking my cup of coffee, chilling and having a good conversation with Hawaiian music in the background. Certainly gives a more out-of-the-city kind of environment.



All of their staffs are very efficient, even when they only communicate with us through sign languages. We literally got everything we asked for, and compared to all those other foreign Bangladeshi employees that are hired at other restaurants who are able to speak, I'd say this place has excellent service!



Now, the coffee! Have you ever heard of cherry coffee beans? Apparently they are the only coffee beans available in Hawaii because Hawaii is actually a volcano that is made into an island (if you didn't know) and the soil is filthy rich! Hence, the existence of Kona Coffee.



I tried their Cappuccino and it was really really good! I was actually surprised because I was a little bit skeptical with their coffee. In fact, I am always skeptical with new places as I am quite particular with my coffee. I like it not too bitter, not too light, not too thick, not too thin. So, this one was just the way I love it! Exactly not too bitter, not too light, not too thick, not too thin but just nice.




Baby ordered a sandwich (egg mayo) and a cup of ice coffee + chocolate which I didn't try because I didn't want to jeopardize the awesomeness of how my coffee tasted.

I would actually love to visit this place everyday for my coffee fix but it is just too far for me, so if you are around PJ area, give it a try!

The year of the Water Dragon

Celebrating Chinese New Year was something I look forward to every year when I was younger. I used to head back to Seremban, where my grandma used to live and all of us (cousins, aunties & uncles) would spend quality time with one another.

After my grandma passed away, we rarely saw one another. Chinese New Year wasn't the same as it used to be. We grew older each year and every single Chinese New Year that came, felt like it was just another public holiday that passed by.

This year was different. It was as if a fog has lifted and everyone in my family worked hard to spend some time together, making this year count.

It was a pretty busy 5 days really. Reunions from both sides of the family, friend's birthday, relatives house visiting, ang paus :P and food! However, as busy as it may have been, it actually made me realize that I do have a lot in my life to be grateful for and to be able to celebrate Chinese New Year every year.

I guess we need some form of a reminder once in a while to remind us of how lucky we are and to value those that has touched our lives one way or another.

It takes a long time to grow young. So SWEET 16, it is!

It was my first time at Rootz and I expected it to be another RNB nigger club since my friend told me they were playing RNB but it wasn't bad, AT ALL! I quite like the place actually.

Went in, was overwhelmed by the crowd while trying to search for the bunch because we were told there will be no mobile reception there and had to rely on our eyes to scan all of the faces present that night one by one, until I spotted my little bunny jumping up and down to the music on the higher platform right in front of me.

And so...the party began!

I've never really had a real New Year's Eve celebration. How do I define real? Lets just say that my way of celebrating a meaningful occasion is to have great friends around, a really nice place, awesome music, good food and of course, no celebration is ever complete without the booze.

The last time baby & I decided to go to town for NYE, we were stuck in a non moving jam and had no choice but to cheers to a brand new year in the car.

So we (friends + I) decided that we should have a great time celebrating the last day of 2011 at The View, G Tower. I've always wanted to check out the place cause I've heard plenty of good reviews and that place did not let us down on that very day.





We had a whole couch area, 2 bottles of Absolut Vodka, 2 bottles of Champagne and BBQ good stuff! Plus, we added a bottle of JD which was more than enough for the 8 of us.





So, the whole point of celebrating at The View was because of "the view" plus it would be awesome to watch the fireworks up close as G Tower is right in line with KLCC. The view was awesome.. up until 12am when all of us realized that the fireworks displayed in front of KLCC was blocked by Tanzini. Hence, we cheered to the reflection of the fireworks on The Intermark. It was pretty disappointing but we had a really great time!


A broken Champagne glass to end the night. LOL!

Some say it is a lucky sign. Like how you have to break a plate on your birthday at Elcerdo? Well, next NYE try breaking a Champagne glass!
